The principal of Compelling Telling is Gary Kaye, an award winning journalist and a forty year veteran of the communications business, who has been covering tech since the release of IBM’s first personal computer in 1981. In 2011 Gary began contributing to AARP, writing pieces for the organizations website, and occasionally showing up on AARP's radio shows and the AARP television program "Inside E-Street"
Gary had been the lead producer for technology and renewable energy at the Fox Business Network. He created and produced the network’s signature “3 Days in the Valley” series, as well as the American Icon programs, and the Tech Tuesday segment. He has produced the network’s coverage at major industry events including the Consumer Electronics Show, All Things D, and Solar Power International.
Gary has interviewed the CEO’s of almost every major tech company. He has a history of firsts: the first network television producer to cover the Comdex Computer show; the first technology producer for ABC’s World News Tonight, the first broadcaster to provide live coverage of the Solar Power International Conference. Besides doing tech coverage for ABC News, NBC News, CNN, and Fox Business, he has plenty of experience in consulting and in public relations. He was the co- founder of PR Startup.com and Delgreco|Kaye|Communications. He has consulted for firms including Apple, Intel, IBM, Dell, Compaq, Oracle, CA, and Palm. His PR agency consulting clients have included Edelman, AccessPR, and Burson-Marsteller.
On the public affairs front, Gary has met with members of Congress and federal agencies to advance the case for his clients. He has a background in public policy and knows how to present your stories to the officials you want to reach.
